Don't Panic
Yesterday, everything was fine - tomorrow morning you start your PC and are confronted by the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). You call a friend and he advises you to restart Windows in safe mode. Still no joy.
Don't panic - all is not lost
It may be possible to recover your copy of Windows (and if you have an image from a time when it worked well, plus a recent backup of your data, then it will be really easy) but the time this takes could easily outweigh any advantage.
On the other hand a new hard disk will set you back a few bucks, but the advantage is it will almost certainly be bigger than your old one. It will probably also be faster. Now we can install a fresh copy of windows, load up your software, then copy your important documents, pictures, music collection, email, etc across.
At the end of the day your PC is as good as new and significantly faster than before. You have more storage and even a spare hard drive to act as a backup in case of future disaster.
If you don't feel confident to do this yourself, call Chase Computers as soon as possible, and stop worrying.
